District Service Project: Web-Hosting

A message on Web-Hosting:

Fellow District 3450 Rotarians,

District 3450 has now obtained the use of a dedicated web server on which there is plenty of space available to host individual web sites for each of the Clubs in the District.

There are now several Club web sites being hosted on the District Server, including:

Similar sub-domains have already been created on the server to accommodate each Club’s site. Clubs which currently have a web site hosted elsewhere are welcome to move their site to the District server. Clubs which would like to start their own site, and have sufficient technical know-how to do so, are also welcome to proceed on their own. For your Club’s username, password, and domain name information, please email: support@rotary3450.org

For Clubs that would like to have a web site, but are unfamiliar with the technology, let us assure you that it is really quite simple. Anyone who can compose a document in a word processor can create documents suitable for publication on the internet. Contact the District Webmaster at the above address and we will help you get your Club’s site up and running in no time.

The District also stands ready to provide web hosting facilities for Club’s service projects, and the charitable organizations that our District’s clubs support.

Please also encourage any Rotaract and Interact Clubs that you are associated with to contact us as well.

Yours in Rotary,

The District Electronic Communications Committee
